Our Story

 

Bella Vue at Pepin Heights is the Grelling family’s insane quest to protect birds, bees and butterflies by planting a 5-acre native prairie on the bluffs of the Mississippi.  While we don’t exactly know what we’re doing, we know that we want to reverse the negative impact of global warming.  We’re sure you’d like to as well. 

Bella Vue at Pepin Heights provides the opportunity to have fun while pursuing the serious business of saving our environment.

• Our on-site experiences are low-key, hands-on activities for you to enjoy and connect with the ecosystem. 
• The blog tracks our steep learning curve as we reconstruct a native prairie.
